The Eastpak brand first began in 1952, when the brand was chosen to create a selection of backpacks and luggage for the US Army. Creating products that can withstand the harsh elements placed upon them, while remaining functional but lightweight is a tough task but Eastpak embraced the challenge and continued to produce the Army’s bags for many years. Originally made of canvas, these bags were durable but blessed with a high functionality that soon made them the choice of backpacks for students, who had clocked the practicality of the bags that the Army used. Bright prints were added to the collections and within a few months the iconic Daypack was born.
Placing wheels onto the Eastpak Luggage was the next step, giving it a new founded manoeuvrability that had not been seen before. As time has gone on, the Eastpak brand has grown to include a large selection of wheeled holdalls, backpacks and hand-luggage that is not only able to withstand the harsh treatment that is placed upon our luggage but is also affordable to the everyday user, who requires quality, without the high price tag.
